Multidimensional ... shame ... DEEP .......
now is really VERY long time since I can listen to my BLOG something from me ... Sorry ... Many times ... But Now at last I will repay me! I may have the last 3 months, a very great and exciting time, am met many incredibly special people, and was entitled to collect a lot of fantastic musical experience!
In my time of performances at Opera Zuid and Tsar Saltan I moved to Paris. At the Opéra National de Paris I rehearsed Cimarosa Matrimonio. It was a wonderful time - a fantastic apartment in St. Michel on the Seine, great weather, something many of my trips on a Velib suizidial colored (a kind of French cycling - for Dutch a MUST!), The great collaboration with director Marc Paquien and the highly motivated orchestra, and of course the many great conversations and reflections with my Dutch friend and colleague Arnaud conductor who has been my musical side. A very inspiring time for both body as the soul! In the soul that has been in really good ideas - in the body, thanks to la belle cuisine francaise, rather kilos ... :-)
was then part of the time the press conference for the new season in Dessau. On 24 April, I am in the morning before daylight flown from Paris to Berlin, have been picked up since then by Mr. Landgraf, and by 11 we have with our new programming team presented the next time ( www.lockbuch-dessau.de ). This was a very warm meeting with many new people interested, and it was a great interest in our plans there are also really very nice (I think at least .. itself :-)). Later that day I flew back from Berlin to Dessau, what I was then conducted by 20 clock in the evening the rehearsal Matrimonio - to 23.30 ... Fast-conductors jet-set airs, But as our venerable Maestro Gergiev always said when he was asked whether al these ridiculous traveling circus is not strenuous but ":" This is - you can sit down here yet! " :-)

During my stay in Paris, I then, as part of the project Rhapsody In-School by pianist Lars Vogt, a visit made at the German International School in Paris. This was a great day: By Andrea Hill, who sang the role of Fidalmas, Arnaud and we have 2 hours of music lessons given a great deal about our musical experiences, playing music for the children, and sung at the end even with them. Tina, the music teacher, had both final chorus 9th Beethoven - I have had conduct of an independent student - studied as Disney's "The lion sleeps tonight". A very special and beautiful experience, and the great cuisines of Tina's men were after an event!
After performances in Paris, I'm then taken directly to Rennes, where the rehearsals for Don Giovanni were already in full swing. Rennes is and remains simply an incredibly beautiful city. With its 210.000 inhabitants it is the 10th City in France, and it has a wonderful old medieval center, with a very intimate theater. This theater is one of the most fascinating monuments in Rennes, built in 1836, with a great Italian interior furnishings. It is very popular among the population, and has an overall 99.5% occupancy!
Rennes is located one hour from the coast, and the many May-free days, I have benefited from and to visit the sea. My big walk the Breton coast niche (GR-34, from St.-Malo Cancalle!) Is one of the highlights of last year!
Under the musical supervision by my colleague and friend Gwennolé Rufet (former first conductor in Hagen) was during my "not-yet-presence" diligently rehearsed and musically staged by the singers, and he had the musical helm really tight and excellent in the hand taken up the moment I arrived.
Also in Rennes I was very fortunate to work with brings a very good cast of singers to be allowed to!
The Don Giovanni team on the beach at St. Malo
The rehearsal process was Although quite hectic, but the former assistant of Achim Freyer, Frans de Haas, and Jean Michel Fournerau have steered us well along with my musical wizard Inaki Encina by the huge amount of problems, and the result is then also become simply outstanding. Such an interesting and funny production of Giovanni I have seen really rare.
Concentrated work sample with Zerlina and Masetto
Each performance has been up to now of engaging with ovations. The production is then also incredibly beautiful, and very motivated Orchestre de Bretagne just play a great Mozart! And I just love to be able to fill even the recitatives ... You feel then real musician among musicians, and you can show your colleagues that a conductor is only human ... :-)
morning we experience the highlight of the performances (hopefully at least). Tomorrow's show will be broadcast live on that is the town hall square. And not just on the town square! Using a new technology is the idea (through special glasses) in 3-D look to the Renner City Hall and in various theaters in Rennes and Paris. Besides, the whole is then MEZZO broadcast live on Radio France, and that can be received in 39 countries ... I'm a little nervous! ...
have After yesterday's presentation, which was already recorded in full, we may already have a taste of the new sound system and the 3-D conversion - and I really must say: hats off! This afternoon I was still a very nice meeting with Paul, the engineer of Radio France, with whom I eventually worked out the final icing on the cake - and now I am very curious what it all tomorrow ... I will tell of course!
REAL !!!... :-)
