And the most wonderful birth family was of course in the area ... My sister and your friend Marieke Floris have given to a young son. And we are all very happy with and proud of our new nephew, who has received the beautiful name Koen!

The second birth was musically .. of Art This week I was a guest at the Northwest German Philharmonic Orchestra of Herford, where I made with the excellent musicians who have recorded for the WDR! Since this was the first time that I've produced correct radio, I must admit that I was a little nervous ... But it went very well! The program consisted of compositions by the Dutch composer Johan Wagenaar, who lived from 1862 to 1941. And what a beautiful music he has written! Really colorful instrumentation, according to papers given by Strauss and Berlioz, and some with very high standards for the players. The orchestra was incredibly fast in implementing my instructions, incredibly professional, and it sounded really excellent - so that has really made a lot of fun! The mixer, Peter Eichenseher has come with his team's excellent work, and the label CPO was so enthusiastic that is being considered right now even if they do not produce a CD of this!
